We had a our first region business expo this week. All these incredible places are right on our door step! Historical chateaus & monuments, zoo, aquarium, medieval castles, cycle routes, museums and thermal baths the list is endless. Some places we did not even know about!! There are #chateau #chateaudelabrosse #chateaulife #lureuil #renovation activities for everyone- families, couples, nature enthusiasts, food and wine lovers! Come visit!!

Our smallest room was completed today. Tv still has to be mounted and mini fridge is ordered. I feel it’s a calm and pretty room. I wish I had cleaned it before the electrician installed it! Lesson learnt. This bedroom had no ceiling light at all. Tough job for the tradies running wire through the stone walls but looks magnific!!#chateau #chateaudelabrosse #chateaulife #renovation #

We are very grateful to a kind neighbour who bought her tractor over to help. She made very light work of moving the trough. Missed the actual pick up but her tractor skills were impressive! Thank you 🚜🙌#chateau #chateaudelabrosse #chateaulife #lureuil

It hasn’t stopped raining since I cleaned the deck. After photos will come once it dries and I can see the result.

Today we finally decided to tackle moving our 100 year old Russian billiard table which the previous left us. We had been putting off moving it due to its weight and the stairs being steep, tight and a 90 degree turn. We moved from one building (now our toy room, Lego room and craft room) into the main chateau. Also had to navigate stone stairs that were covered in slippery moss. Lucky we were wearing our Australian safety boots…Uggies!! We were able to undo some screws and move in two parts which lessened#chateau #chateaulife #chateaudelabrosse #renovation #lureuil the weight a fraction. Was a massive effort but now guests can enjoy playing on a 100 year old table in a 200 year old castle (300 years old if you count the stables, barn & coach house)

We have three kitchens in total! Two in the chateau and one in the barn (soon to be a holiday Gete). This particular kitchen is being renovated into a breakfast area by day (for B&B guests) and bar by night (for event guests).

While Mark was busy digging, I tried my hand at unblocking a shower drain. Hoping for a clump of hair I discovered so many parts inside I had never seen before.
